Craig B. Stanford, MBA, TEP, PFP, CFA Managing Director, Portfolio Manager
Craig has over 20 years of senior-level experience in the investment and finance sector. His prior Portfolio Manager and Investment Counsellor positions include the following: Partner / Director of Private Client Portfolio Management Mawer Investment Management; Managing Director / Portfolio Manager Cypress Capital Management; and, Managing Director / Portfolio Manager at Brickburn Asset Management.
Craig also worked for Royal Bank Financial Group as a Senior Account Manager, Global Private Banking, providing offshore and domestic solutions to high net worth clients, trusts, foundations, and not-for-profits. In addition, he worked as a Trust and Investment Advisor for Royal Trust providing offshore and domestic portfolio management, custody, estate, and IBC formation services.
Craig is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. He obtained a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) degree from the University of Alberta. In addition, he holds and maintains Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) designations and is a Certified Financial Planner (PFP). Craig enjoys a variety of sports and remains active in the agriculture sector with his family’s farm. He is also actively involved in the community and works with his wife for various charities.
Martin R. Pelletier, CFA Managing Director, Portfolio Manager
Martin's career in the investment and finance sector includes extensive research experience such as financial modeling and fundamental analysis of commodities, sectors, and individual equities. Martin also provided regular investment advice and recommendations to both retail and institutional clients located in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Martin's research has lead to the establishment of senior management and board level relationships among those in the Canadian and International energy sector.
More recently, Martin was an Investment Banking Consultant undertaking corporate finance advice to private and public companies in the energy, mining, technology and financial service sectors. Previous to his consulting work, Martin spent the majority of his career in equity research at the following investment firms: Director, Energy Research at Blackmont Capital, the capital market arm of CI Financial; Energy Research Analyst and Associate at Canaccord Capital; and, Equity Research Associate at GMP Securities. Martin also began his career at the Bank of Nova Scotia in early 1997 as a Registered Representative providing investment advice to high net worth clients in a branch office in Edmonton.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in finance from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. In his spare time, Martin enjoys a variety of sports including golf, hockey, skiing, Tae Kwon do, and most importantly spending time with his wife and two young boys.
